The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation and Trillium Health Centre Foundation – Better Together!
Foundations announce they will amalgamate to become
Trillium Health Partners Foundation
Mississauga, ON (June 6, 2013) – Today, the Boards of Directors of The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation and Trillium Health Centre Foundation announced the two foundations will be amalgamating as of July 1, 2013 to best serve the funding needs of Trillium Health Partners.
Over the past year and a half, the two hospital foundations have been working closely together while raising vital funds for Trillium Health Partners. After an extensive board-led due diligence process, it is firmly believed that an amalgamation of equal partners is a natural evolution of the Foundations’ strong and successful collaboration and the best way to maximize donor investments to meet the needs of the hospital.
Says Michele Darling, Chair, Board of Directors, The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, “As one Foundation with one voice, we will have a heightened ability to support our hospital on a much broader and more efficient scale, while continuing to address the site-specific needs of the founding hospitals within Trillium Health Partners. This will result in an effective, coordinated implementation and fulfillment of hospital priorities which is everyone’s ultimate goal.”
The recommendation to amalgamate was presented to voting members of each Foundation during their recent annual general meetings where the vote passed unanimously.
Trillium Health Partners Foundation will raise funds for hospital-wide initiatives while continuing to address the site-specific needs of the founding hospitals within Trillium Health Partners: The Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre.
“This is an exciting time for the Foundations, as we spend the next year aligning and integrating operations,” says Steve Hoscheit, Shared President & CEO, The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation and Trillium Health Centre Foundation. “In addition to aligning administration and fundraising activity, the amalgamation process will also include developing a full brand identity for Trillium Health Partners Foundation – one that honours the legacy of our two founding foundations.”
