Statement Of Ethics



The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation pledges the following to its donors:

Acountability
Fundraising results will be recorded accurately and consistently according to generally accepted accounting principles.

Fiscal Responsibility
Every effort will be made to keep fundraising expenses within industry standards. Proper stewardship of gifts will include timely reports on the use and management of funds.

Assurance
The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation staff are members in good standing on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), adhering to the Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice.

Contributions will be used in accordance with our donors' intentions.

Donors will receive informed, accurate and ethical advice regarding the value and tax implications of potential gifts.

The Credit Valley Hospital and Foundation value Excellence in Patient Care, Respect, Leadership, Teamwork, Accountability and Partnership.

The Foundation is recognized by the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy as having adopted the Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code. For donors, this set of standards is assurance of our integrity and accountability.
