Here are just a few examples of what your support made possible in 2009:
A new ECG unit (Electrocardiogram) for our cardiopulmonary department
Creating a settlement workers program that provides translation support to new Canadians and helps patients and their families navigate the entire continuum of care
An ultrasound table for diagnostic imaging
2 flexible cystoscopes (urology) for use in the operating room
Continuing our popular Arts in Medicine program for patients and caregivers
Creating more child friendly spaces throughout the hospital and additional resources for our paediatric department
1 continuous SvO2 monitor which provides enhanced critical care monitoring of intubated patients in ICU
1 bladder scanner for our palliative care department
In addition, your funds contributed substantially to help build and equip our new facility, currently on schedule to open in 2011.
Our Lifetime of Care $45 million campaign has reached $24 million to date.
We still need you and we thank you sincerely for your support.
